iBOX

LLLP coordinates the project “INCLUSION BOX” (iBox): a project with a five-partner consortium which aims at supporting the digital transition, access and participation in learning processes, and inclusion and diversity strategies of the educational staff of CSOs and NGOs.
The project consists of an interdisciplinary, bottom-up process, involving key stakeholders in the design of innovative training resources collected in an online platform, to support the sector develop strategies in the three-above mentioned areas (digital transition, access and participation in learning processes, and inclusion and diversity). These are key issues the consortium will work on to foster inclusive and innovative management methods and pedagogical approaches among educational staff and managers.
Through a capacity-building process to ensure more inclusive education and training organisations and more inclusive education approaches and actions, CSOs and NGOs will be better equipped to better face and respond to current and future societal challenges.
Project Target Groups
The project’s main target group are the adult educators and staff working in the education and training sector. This group includes different profiles: managers, officers, volunteers, educators and trainers.
Project Objectives
- To promote inclusive education and training settings, supporting learning providers in addressing diversity and reinforcing diversity itself among education staff;
- To support learning providers to adapt to the digital transition;
- To support learning providers to promote active participation and civic engagement through learning;
- To foster inclusive and innovative management methods and approaches among educational staff and managers of civil society and non-governmental organisations, increasing the quality and relevance of their action in this area;
- To promote cross-border and cross-sectoral cooperation among Programme countries and Partner countries;
- To support the capacity-building of the staff of those organisations in addressing diversity, reinforcing diversity among themselves at the same time;
- To promote innovation in education and training through European cooperation at policy and practice levels.
Project Implementation and Activities
During the 2-year project lifetime, iBox’s partners will:
- Identify inspiring practices from educational establishments and CSOs focused on digital transition and blended work methods, access and participation in learning processes, and diversity and inclusion;
- Disseminate these practices through online and in-person training on the topics above; and
- Exploit them through further training and educative actions in different contexts, designing an inclusion and diversity strategy applicable to all sectors.
The new pedagogical approaches implemented within their target groups, the alternative management strategies put into practice in their inclusive education initiatives and the participatory methods applied, will all make educational staff and managers of Civil Society Organisations more aware and willing to practice inclusive educational approaches also at internal level.
Project Partners and Roles
The consortium involves five partner organisations, ensuring impact from the international to the local level through their extensive network of members and partners in several EU and non-EU countries.
Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP) will be responsible for the overall coordination and communication with the partners in each step.
ALL DIGITAL will design and set up the online training environment of the learning contents and Open Educational Resources. It will also be in charge of the coordination of the training on digital transition and blended work methods.
Learning for Well-being Foundation will be in charge of the designing and implementation of training on access and participation in learning processes.
Centres d’Entraînement aux Méthodes d’Éducation Active (Cémea) France, through its experience in the field, will coordinate the training on strategies for inclusion and diversity. The analyses, contributions and expertise that they will put in place during the project will also rely on all the members of the International Federation of Training Centres for Active Education Methods (Ficeméa), of which Cémea is a member. The action of Cémea France at national and local level, as well as the support of Ficeméa, will guarantee the scope of the project at different levels (from international to local), ensuring a wide impact of the actions implemented
The European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) will ensure the project methodological quality.
All project partners are membership-based organisations. Thanks to their pan-European membership, the training and project results will be utilised by national, regional and local educational providers.
Expected Results
At the end of the project, partner organisations and their members will:
- Reinforce the diversity among their staff;
- Implement participatory and inclusive management systems;
- Use new pedagogical approaches through non-formal learning (NFL) methods in their initiatives focused on social inclusion;
- Design advocacy actions and policy strategies in a participatory way.
