We need a vision and the political commitment to ensure our education and training systems deliver better for economic development, social and civic participation, personal fulfilment and well-being. An intergroup on lifelong learning is important in terms of coordination, efficiency and participation as well as to ensure the strategic political involvement of the European Parliament in complex and interlinked European processes in education, training and lifelong learning. EUCIS-LLL Platform and EAEA have so far gathered signatures from more than 30 MEPs from 6 political groups and 14 different countries supporting the initiative. The leader of our initiative in the European Parliament, Ms Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, Finland) submitted the application and the Conference of Presidents will decide on the final list on 11 December. You can still support the initiative by sending our call to your MEPs!
