The European Reconciliation Package is a policy document that aims to apply a systemic approach to the complex issue of work-life balance, to both its related challenges and possible solutions. It is the main policy outcome of the 2014 Year of Reconciling Work and Family Life in Europe led by COFACE in which the European Parents Association (EPA) was an active partner. According to EPA, the Package is lacking some important points and as a whole does not clearly reflect their view on reconciliation. That is why EPA, together with Eurochild, decided not to support the package. In their opinion, policies and measures that are aiming at reconciling work and family life should be at the heart of Europe’s recovery from the crisis. You can read the whole paper on EPA’s website.
