Volonteurope has issued on 29 May a statement acknowledging latest EU elections as “a serious threat to the values of solidarity, cooperation, tolerance and respect for people’s rights across Europe”. The network believes that there is a strong need for a closer cooperation between civil society and the European Parliament and calls to set up an Intergroup on volunteering.
