CSR Europe, together with its partners Amgen, IBM and Johnson & Johnson, has launched STEM@Home – a new virtual learning platform on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Under the collaborative platform Together 4 STEM, the companies share free online educational resources on a wide range of topics, spanning from biology and physics, to cybersecurity, AI and critical thinking. The material, offered in English, French, Italian and Spanish, is thought for children and young learners aged 6-20+.
STEM skills are in high demand in the job market as they are critical to solving the world’s biggest challenges. The importance of STEM has become increasingly evident during the current pandemic with scientists researching vaccines, engineers working to design and ramp up the production of protective equipment, and ICT services ensuring connectivity and remote work and education.
As the Covid-19 outbreak changed the way educational institutions work all around the world, partners of Together 4 STEM stepped in to offer a practical support to students and teachers all over the world. The learning platform STEM@Home aims to go beyond the current health crisis and become a long-term reference point for digital education and effective remote learning.
