DARE is since 2020 the home address for the Competendo project. Since 2021 Competendo is also part of the DIGIT-AL project, Digital Transformation in Adult Learning for Active Citizenship, supported by the European Union in the framework of the program Erasmus+ (KA2 Adult Learning).

Competendo is committed to contribute to better learning of civic competences and empowerment in a time of transformation. The toolbox offers and shares experience, methods and inspiration for (digital) competency based learning, especially non-formal learning. Published under a CreativeCommons license.

The mission is to build a bridge between the theoretical dimension of Education for Democratic Citizenship/Human Rights Education (EDC/HRE), the societal impact and quality dimension of education (in particular of non-formal education) and the concrete practice in the field of EDC/HRE.
