The OBSERVAL-Net project is coordinated by the European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) and aimed to set up a network of stakeholders supporting validation of non-formal and informal learning (VNFIL). The final conference held in Brussels on 15 October was notably the occasion to hand out the Validation Prize 2013 Award. An advocacy pack has also been finalized to improve the implementation of VNFIL. Following the release of the related 2012 Council Recommendation, EUCIS-LLL has launched a task force to follow up on the progress made in Member States. Next task force meeting is planned to occur on 4 December during the Lifelong Learning Week, right after SOLIDAR seminar on validation (see LLL Week calendar).
