This is the third and final complementary event in the framework of a Strategic EVS project, “Young People for Europe of Inclusion, Solidarity and Social Justice”, which Volunteering Matters has been delivering since February 2018. The event, themed around the topic of “Youth inclusion and mobility strategies from 2020”, takes place in the context of many challenges, changes and opportunities taking place across Europe. Brexit is a reality, the new EU legislature is nearly in place, the arrangements for the new Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) are being negotiated. Youth inclusion and mobility must not disappear from political agendas and therefore the event is very timely: it ensures that the outcomes of the project and voices of the volunteers and organisations, are brought together, alongside European-level contributions, at this major oneday event in Brussels.
The discussions will provide evidence and arguments for why European youth inclusion and mobility projects are vital for sustaining European values of solidarity, respect, tolerance, inclusion and social justice, and why they must continue and be robustly supported in the new MFF. The event will show why this Strategic EVS Project has been necessary and how it has been successful, giving the young people who benefitted from it
the primary voice on the European dissemination scene.
