1st ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub Virtual Forum

Event Details

The Lifelong Learning Platform is pleased to invite you to the 1st ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub Virtual Forum “Future Directions in Lifelong Learning: creating a vision for Lifelong Learning Research, Policy & Practice in Asia & Europe”, online on 13-15 October 2020 (8 am-12 pm GMT).

The ASEM Lifelong Learning Hub (ASEM LLL Hub) is the official network for university cooperation in Lifelong Learning Research between Asia and Europe. It is now being hosted by University College Cork, Ireland. Under the new Chair, Dr Séamus Ó TUAMA, it is hoped the network will engage more extensively with civil society lifelong learning stakeholders. This Forum will offer an opportunity for those voices to be heard.

The network provides a platform for bi-regional dialogue between researchers, practitioners and policymakers and contributes to evidence-based educational reform and innovation in lifelong learning across the ASEM constituency. This first online Forum is supported by the Government of Ireland.

The Forum seeks to encourage engagement from all lifelong learning stakeholders including ASEM Ministries, Science and Research, universities, think tanks, education practitioners and civil society representatives committed to enhancing the future of Lifelong Learning in the ASEM area. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss and develop a five-year ASEM LLL Hub Action Plan which will be aligned to the ASEM Education Process Strategy 2030 and global targets for lifelong learning and sustainability. For further details, please see the Programme.

If you wish to participate in the Forum, please use this link to register. The ASEM LLL Hub Secretariat will send relevant details and links to the Forum to registered delegates in due course. In order to maximise participation from civil society, I encourage you to share this invite across your networks.
