Annual Conference 2017: Registrations are open!

The Lifelong Learning Platform is pleased to announce its Annual Conference “Education in a Digital World. Reducing inequalities through lifelong learning,” will be taking place on 31 May and 1 June 2017 in Tallinn, Estonia.

So if any of the following propositions inspire you, register as soon as possible!

  • What? Education in a Digital World from an LLL approach
  • Why? To ensure universal access to education in a digital world – as innovatively as possible!
  • Who? Members, educators, learners, digital thinkers and experts, academics, civil society organisations, national and EU representatives…

Digitalisation is ever growing and will inevitably affect all sectors. The challenge of education in a digital world commands us to open education as widely as possible to include all, through flexible pathways and innovative thinking in order to enable all to adapt to yet unknown developments. Only a holistic long term vision will ensure universal access to digital education. Join us to explore the lifelong learning solutions to these challenges!

The Conference will take place at the crossroads between the Maltese and Estonian Presidencies of the Council of the EU. What’s more, the topic also reflects the European Union Agenda, namely the launch of the Digital Skills for Jobs Coalition under the New Skills Agenda for Europe adopted in 2016. But in 2017 we also celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Treaty of Rome and the 30th Anniversary of Erasmus. These milestones encourage to reflect on what has been achieved, and momentum to design our direction for the future in which both education and digitalisation will play a crucial role.

A knowledge building event, the conference will tackle the topic with:
  • Inspirational keynotes and High-level speakers, including Prof. Mart Laanpere and DG EAC Director Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva…
  • Thematic Talks with Experts…
  • Debating sessions in the Digital Fishbowl…
The Conference will feature on-the-side activities including a European Reception at the Teachers’ House in Old Town Tallinn for elegant networking, a Free Walking Tour of Tallinn to discover the city’s oldest secrets, and a visit to e-Estonia for a peak into its astonishing modernity…
